Have you ever wondered what happens to old electronics that are thrown out?
In most cases, they end up in the landfill where they’re never broken down. CHaRM’s mission is to repurpose old and unwanted electronics to create useful items. For example, electronic batteries can be repurposed into modern batteries for cell phones and game systems!
Join us in diverting 1 Million pounds of trash from the landfill from April 2nd – April 16th! We are excited that Community & Council is involved with this year’s CHaRM Corporate Challenge with the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials! As a supporter of Community & Council, you have the opportunity to contribute to CHaRM’s overall Pledge to the Earth to reuse/recycle/reengineer more than 1 million pounds of waste by Earth Day, thereby diverting harmful materials from Atlanta’s landfills and waterways.
We need your help to meet the goal! Come on a Saturday and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate on us – Yummy!
